2.2 Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

  • Use the Site in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, or deceptive
  • Submit false, misleading, or defamatory content through any form on the Site
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site or our systems
  • Transmit unsolicited commercial communications (spam)

  • Scrape, harvest, or extract data from the Site without our prior written consent
  • Impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity

3. Forms and User Submissions

3.1 General

Our Site contains several forms through which you may submit information to us. All submissions must be truthful, accurate, and lawful.

3.2 Story Sharing Form

By submitting your story, you grant NAF a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, edit, translate, publish, and share your story for awareness-raising and organisational purposes, subject to your explicit prior consent. We will never publish your story without your consent.

You are responsible for the content you submit. Please do not include sensitive identifying information about third parties without their consent. You warrant that your submission does not infringe the rights of any third party.

3.3 Volunteering Form

Submitting a volunteering form does not create any contractual obligation on the part of NAF to engage you as a volunteer. We will review your expression of interest and contact you if a suitable opportunity arises. All volunteers will be subject to our Volunteer Policy and any applicable safeguarding requirements.

3.4 Partnership Enquiry Form

Submitting a partnership enquiry form does not create any agreement, partnership, or commitment between you and NAF. All partnerships are subject to separate negotiation and a formal written agreement.

3.5 Questionnaire

The “Have You Experienced Narcissistic Abuse?” questionnaire is provided for informational and self-reflection purposes only. It does not constitute medical, psychological, or legal advice, and its results must not be relied upon for any diagnostic or clinical purpose. If you are in crisis or require professional support, please seek qualified assistance immediately.

4. Store — Purchase Terms

4.1 Orders

By placing an order through our online store, you are making an offer to purchase the relevant merchandise. All orders are subject to acceptance by NAF and product availability. We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion. A binding contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation email. Please ensure your contact and delivery details are accurate before completing your purchase.

4.2 Pricing

All prices are displayed in the applicable currency for your region and include applicable taxes where stated. We reserve the right to change prices at any time. The price confirmed at the point of your order is the price you will be charged.

4.3 Payment via Stripe

All payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc., our third-party payment provider. By providing your payment details, you confirm you are authorised to use that payment method. NAF does not receive, process, or store your full payment card details at any point. Stripe’s processing is governed by their own terms and privacy policy, available at stripe.com.

4.4 Shipping and Delivery

We ship to addresses within Canada, the USA, Mexico, and the UK. Estimated delivery times and shipping costs are displayed at checkout. These are estimates and may be affected by factors outside our control. Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery to the address provided.

4.5 Returns and Refunds

Please refer to our Refund and Returns Policy for full details. Your statutory consumer rights under the laws of your jurisdiction are not affected by these Terms.

4.6 Nature of Purchases

Merchandise purchases support the work of NAF but do not constitute a donation. Merchandise purchases are not tax-deductible. NAF is incorporated as a BC Society and is not a registered charity with the Canada Revenue Agency. No charitable donation receipts will be issued for merchandise purchases.

5. Donations

5.1 Processing of Donations

Donations are processed securely via Stripe. All donations are final and non-refundable, except where made in clear error, in which case please contact us within 7 days of the transaction.

5.2 Use of Donations

All donations are used to further the purposes of NAF as a BC Society. We do not guarantee allocation of donations to any specific programme unless explicitly stated in a designated campaign.

5.3 Tax Status

NAF is incorporated as a society under the BC Societies Act and is not a registered charity with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). Donations made to NAF are therefore not eligible for a charitable donation tax receipt under the Income Tax Act (Canada) and are not tax-deductible. Donors in other jurisdictions should seek independent advice on the tax treatment of donations in their country.

6. Events and Ticket Purchases

6.1 Booking

Event tickets are available for purchase through our website and are subject to availability. A booking confirmation will be sent to the email address provided once your purchase is complete.

6.2 Refunds and Transfers

Tickets are non-refundable except where an event is cancelled or significantly altered by NAF. In the event of cancellation, a full refund will be issued to the original payment method. Tickets may be transferred to another individual by contacting us prior to the event.

6.3 Event Conduct

All attendees are expected to behave respectfully and in accordance with NAF’s values. We reserve the right to refuse entry to, or remove, any person whose conduct is deemed inappropriate, threatening, or disruptive, without refund.

6.4 Event Changes

NAF reserves the right to alter the date, venue, or format of any event. Where a significant change occurs, ticket holders will be notified as soon as practicable and offered appropriate options.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, audio, video, and software, is the property of NAF or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit our content without prior written consent.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our Site and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, NAF makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied. Information on our Site is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, NAF, its directors, officers, employees, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, our Site or services. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites or services, including Stripe. NAF has no control over and assumes no responsibility for the content or practices of any third-party sites. We encourage you to review their terms and privacy policies independently.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.

For users in the United Kingdom, nothing in these Terms affects your rights as a UK consumer. For users in the USA or Mexico, applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction may also apply.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be signalled by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document and by notice on our Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
